Dear SRES Families,

I hope this mid-week email finds you well and enjoying the snow flurries!

Three updates:

1.  The cold temperatures are impacting our health screenings; namely our thermometers (no contact and tympanic) simply either do not work or do not give accurate readings when they are cold! Therefore, beginning Thursday, December 10th, we will move our health screenings indoors. 

• If you bring your child to school in the morning, please drop off at the front entrance and depart.  Students will walk to the front doors and form two lines (if needed) and be screened in the lobby. If the health screening proves questionable, you will be contacted immediately and may be asked to return to school to bring your child home. In order for this new plan to work, we ask that you continue to follow Governor Scott’s orders and not send your child to school if he/she has a fever or other COVID symptoms.

• Students arriving by bus will be screened in the gym as that is their entry point.

2.  Our SRES t-shirt order arrived today!  MANY thanks again to Mr. Jim Ruggiero for his generous donation - a free t-shirt for all SRES students!  Please look for your child’s t-shirt (and if you placed an order) in his/her backpack today.

• Let’s have a School Spirit Day on Friday, December 11th...everyone wear their new SRES t-shirt!
